Connecting Skipple with Picaboo Yearbooks
Before you can access your school’s Skipple photos from inside the Picaboo Yearbooks app, you need to do four things:
- Download the Skipple app and create an account.
- Find and select your school from within the Skipple app. Search by the official name of your school as it is registered with the Department of Education.
- Make sure that a yearbook project has been created for your school.
- Verify that you have a valid Picaboo Yearbooks Publishing Agreement associated with your school's yearbook project.
Once you have done all four items above, you can begin to import your school’s Skipple photos by following the steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to the “Skipple” management tab in your project’s Image Management.
Step 2: Click “Get Access”. Only advisers can begin the importing process. After the import finishes, Sr. Editors and Photo Editors can also access the school’s Skipple photos from within the online yearbook designer.
Step 3: Enter the email address you use to sign into Skipple.
Step 4: Verify you are importing from the correct school. The school you are importing must match the school your project is for. If not, you can change the school in your Skipple account by going to Settings in the Skipple app.
Step 5: Once you confirmed the school name, in a few seconds, the photos will be accessible to the Adviser, Sr. Editor and Photo Editors.
How do I assign Skipple photos to a section in my project?
From the list of Skipple photos, check the box to the left of one or more photos. Then select the section name from the drop down menu above the photos. Once assigned to a section, the photos work like any other section photo. You can continue to manage the assigned photos from the Section tab in your projects Image Management.
How do I sort the Skipple photos?
Choose sorting options from the drop down menu at the top and to the right of the photos list. You can sort by:
- Rank - the number assigned to photos based on likes and views.
- Likes
- Views
- Date posted (newest first)
- Date posted (oldest first)
How do I see photos by user?
Choose a user from the drop down menu at the top of the photos list. All active photos from that user will display.
How do I see only the flagged photos?
From the top of the photos list, click the “Flagged” view. This will show all photos that were flagged in the Skipple app for your school as well as photos you flagged from Skipple management.
How do I flag a photo from Skipple management?
From the main view of your schools Skipple photos, click “Flag this Photo”. The photo will be moved in to the “Flagged” view above the photo list as well be removed from the Skipple app and not be seen by anyone else. If this photo was assigned to a section, it will still be available within that section until it’s removed from there as well.
How do I unflag a photo?
From the top of the photos list, click the “Flagged” view. To put a photo back into the Skipple app for others at your school to see, click the “Unflag” button next to the photo. You can also click “Delete” to completely remove the photo from ever being unflagged or seen again.
